Do I need a mindfulness meditation teacher?

We are all on the path, and our practice is always evolving and changing. It is easy to get lost or stagnate along the way. We can also become confused about how our practice is actually going, our view can become myopic. It is helpful to have someone who is familiar with you and your practice to help navigate your path — someone who will be honest with you in a way a friend or colleague may not be able to be in many cases.

A mindfulness meditation teacher can be very helpful in providing material to practice or consider that you may not have discovered otherwise. There are hundreds of meditation practices to explore, on our own we may not find them easily or understand their benefit. Working with a teacher also provides a scheduled check-in, providing an intentional review and exploration of one’s practice.

Finding a mindfulness meditation teacher is easier than ever with the post-pandemic online opportunities that are now available, relative location no longer needs to be a conflict.

Larissa has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 25 years and has been certified to teach mindfulness meditation by the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, founded by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. If you are interested in working with a mindfulness meditation teacher toward a formal practice contact Larissa to begin.
